John Carroll University students spent part of Summer 2017 in the Dominican Republic serving an organization that strives to protect children's basic rights and strengthen their community.

At the University of Rhode Island's 131st Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 20-21, 2017, about 2,600 undergraduate and 650 graduate students became the University's newest alumni.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2017 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Dean College is pleased to announce the students that have earned a place on the Dean's List for the Spring 2017 semester.

American International College awarded more than 600 undergraduate and graduate degrees to students representing 21 states and 12 countries at its 2017 Commencement ceremony.

Lasell College has released the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2017 semester. A student must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher to receive Dean's List recognition.

Springfield College Recognizes 2017 Graduates

American International College in Springfield, MA has named 440 students to the Spring 2017 Dean's List. Dean's List students are full-time students with a grade point average between 3.3 and 4.0

The following students participated in the University of New Hampshire Commencement Ceremony held Saturday, May 20, 2017, in Durham, N.H. Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64. Students are only graduated after the Registrar's Office has certified that all degree requirements have been successfully completed. Participating in the commencement ceremony is the act of honoring and celebrating academic achievement.

This year's undergraduate address was given by Rodney Brooks, chairman and chief technology officer of Rethink Robotics.

Each Spring, Holyoke Community College recognizes students with honors and awards for outstanding achievement and performance in a wide array of academic areas and extracurricular pursuits. These students received awards for the 2016-2017 academic year and were honored at a ceremony on Wed., May 24, in HCC's Leslie Phillips Theater. Congratulations!

The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

Twenty Nichols College Students have been recognized as Orientation Leaders during summer 2017 for the incoming Class of 2021. These students introduce new first-year students to Nichols College and the community by leading them through team activities and helping them acclimate to the college lifestyle.

The Holyoke Community College Foundation awards more than 200 endowed scholarships each year to new, current and transferring students. These scholarships have been made possible through the generosity of alumni, friends, faculty, trustees and community-minded corporations. Congratulations to all of this year's recipients!

The Assumption College Department of Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies has announced that 23 studentsa have become members of the Human Services National Honor Society, Tau Upsilon Alpha.
